Caffeine is great at revitalising the skin and adding a bit of zip, as well as tightening the skin to reduce wrinkles. Rose water has long been used in cosmetics for a hydrating glow, and in combination with glycerine that naturally draws moisture to the skin – your skin will love it. Lemon juice is a great natural remedy for oil removal and pore cleaning, as well as brightening the skin and aiding in dark spots. Peppermint essential oils are great for reducing redness and soothing irritated skin, as well as being an effective component in fighting acne.

All in all, a coffee mask is a great way to start your mornings.

A coffee mask has very many benefits for the skin. From puffiness under the eyes, acne, fine lines, dark spots and cleaning pores – a coffee mask is for you.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons ground coffee
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee
  • 2 tablespoons rose water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (if you have dry skin, replace with honey)
  • 1 tablespoon glycerine
  • 3 drops peppermint essential oil
  • A few drops of milk if needed to make a more liquid paste

Directions

Mix all ingredients except essential oil and milk together in a little bowl. Make sure to mix thoroughly. Add milk as needed to make a more liquid paste if it is too thick to spread.

Right before application, add the essential oil. The reason for this is that the oil will immediately begin to evaporate once it gets in contact with the air and you want that on your skin as long as possible.
